Client Services: A Day in the Life

However, when the job directly affects millions of shareholders across a wide array of Fortune 1000 companies, it’s anything but ordinary. But it’s a challenge on which Keane’s Client Services Group (CSG) thrives.

John Havrilla, Client Services Manager, welcomes you to his world.

“Paperless Legals” Expedites Account Processing at Keane

Streamlining account processing for clients and their shareholders, is one of the primary goals of Keane’s ICRS division. Keane completed a major step in that direction this past year by embracing the “Paperless Legals” concept implemented by many of the nation’s top transfer agents.<span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"">
More...

“Red Flags” Delay Offers Funds a Chance to Improve Legacy Data Quality

The Keane Organization's EVP of Corporate Development, David McCrystal, was recently quoted in the mutual fund publication Ignites regarding data risk and the FACTA Red Flag Rule. McCrystal explained that while funds have used the extended enforcement deadline (now delayed from May 1 to August 1 2009) to plug some compliance holes, firms are still exposed to fraud tied to legacy data. This exposure is evidenced through the results of Keane's Investor Data Quality Program over the last two years.

FACTA Red Flag Rules Delayed but still Critical

In a recent column for the Ignites Fall 2008 Technology and Operations Special Edition, Dr. Larry Ponemon, of the Ponemon Institute, an independent research group focused on information and privacy management, emphasized the need for mutual fund companies to get in compliance with FACTA’s Red Flag rules. Despite the Federal Trade Commission’s decision to delay enforcement until May of 2009, financial services firms – and that means all financial services – should not waste any time becoming compliant.
